Port Moody Ribfest is one of the most popular rib events in Metro Vancouver. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Port Moody, this weekend-long event attracts close to 40,000 visitors and raises funds for a wide range of local and international charitable causes.

Ribfest Langley is hosted by the Langley Rotary Clubs and offers a fun weekend packed with BBQ, community spirit, and activities for all ages. Like the Port Moody event, admission is by donation with funds raised supporting worthy causes both locally and globally. This event also attracts as many as 40,000 or more attendees each year.

Dates: Late July (3 days)
Location: Vedder Park – 45450 Petawawa Road, Chilliwack
Newer but rapidly growing, Chilliwack Ribfest is presented by the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival. It’s not a fundraising event hosted by local Rotary Clubs, like the events in Port Moody and Langley are. The local Chilliwack Rotary Club does participate in Chilliwack Ribfest, however, and raises funds through donations and the sale of corn on the cob.
This event launched in 2023 and continues to build momentum as one of the Fraser Valley’s top summer food events.

Location: PNE Fairgrounds – Hastings Park, Vancouver
While the PNE Fair isn’t a dedicated ribfest event, it’s still a great place to find BBQ ribs from vendors like Gator BBQ and Truckin BBQ. With all-day entertainment, rides, concerts and cultural exhibits, it’s one of the biggest summer events in Vancouver.

Cloverdale Rodeo – Country Vibes & Barbecue in Surrey
Dates: Victoria Day Long Weekend (May)
Location: Cloverdale Fairgrounds – Surrey, BC
Surrey’s Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair kicks off the rib-eating season in May. While it’s mainly known for rodeo competitions and midway fun, you’ll also find ribs and grilled meats among the fairground food stalls.
