What is Fork & Finger?
Fork & Finger is Downtown Langley’s signature food festival event. Vancouver has the Dine Out Vancouver Festival. Coquitlam, Port Moody and Port Coquitlam have the Taste of the Tri-Cities. Langley City, meanwhile, has Fork & Finger.
The Fork & Finger event encourages visitors to explore participating restaurants, cafés, and eateries while trying exclusive food and beverage features created especially for the occasion.
Guests can wander through the downtown area at their own pace, stopping at participating businesses to sample featured items and experience the community’s growing culinary scene. Most participants try multiple tastings, and many bring containers to take extra food home with them. The event combines food, entertainment, and local shopping into one enjoyable day.
Fork and Finger Event Details
In 2026 the Fork & Finger Festival takes place on Saturday, August 22, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. It happens in Downtown Langley, with McBurney Plaza serving as the event’s main gathering place and information hub.
Admission to the event is free, making it an accessible and family-friendly way to explore the community’s vibrant culinary scene. You just have to pay for the food you buy.
Throughout the day, visitors can stroll through downtown streets, visit participating restaurants and cafés, and enjoy special food and beverage creations prepared exclusively for the event. Most if not all of the tasting products cost either $5 or $10. They are affordable enough, and small enough, that you can sample a variety of different things.
Fork & Finger Passport
A key part of the event is the Fork & Finger Passport, which helps guide visitors through the festival experience.
Participants can pick up a free passport at the Downtown Langley Business Association information tent in McBurney Plaza. The passport includes details about participating locations and serves as a way to collect stamps while visiting restaurants and cafés.
How the Passport Works
Below is a description of how the Fork & Finger Passport works.
First, pick up your complimentary passport at McBurney Plaza. Then, go around exploring Downtown Langley. Visit participating businesses along your way and try their special Fork & Finger featured menu offerings.
At each location, after paying for your food item, ask the vendor to stamp your passport. Collect at least three stamps and then return your passport to McBurney Plaza. There you’ll be entered to win a share of $2,500 in Downtown Dollars, which can be redeemed at more than 100 local Langley businesses.
Participating Stores & Restaurants
The lineup of participating restaurants and featured menu items are announced prior to the day of the event. Visitors can expect a wide variety of culinary offerings from local restaurants, cafés, bakeries, and specialty food businesses throughout Downtown Langley.
Each participating venue typically creates a unique item available only during the festival, giving guests a chance to discover new flavours and favourite local spots.
Examples of what you can get for $5 in 2026 include a 12 oz draft beer from Farm Country Brewing, a grilled ham & cheese sandwich on Sourdough bread from Hot & Toasty Café, or either an Italian soda or ice cream sandwich from Oxford Ice Cream. You can also get some wagyu beef gyoza from Steven’s Cocktail Corner Bar, some banana pudding from The Pie Hole, or an egg salad sandwich from The Station Café.
Other Fork & Finger participating venues with $5 special menu products in 2026 include the Ashoka Indian Cuisine, Don’t Tell Nonna Pizzeria, Brogan’s Diner, Don’t Tell Nonna Pizzeria, Oldhand Coffee, Papa Johns Pizza, and Red Swan Pizza. You can also get $5 treats from places like the Fresh Seafood Market, Periska Foods Market, and Sticky’s Candy Emporium.
A number of places in Downtown Langley also offer $10 special menu items during the Fork & Finger event. In 2026 this includes things like a pair of beef tacos from Adelicia’s Mexican Restaurant, a serving of butter chicken on rice from Ashoka Indian Cuisine, or a curry on rice from Ban Chok Dee Thai Cuisine.
Other places offering $10 menu deals in 2026 include Asia’s Best Cuisine, Brogan’s Diner, Chicko Chicken, Donair Hut, Food by Fanta, the Hot & Toasty Café, Los Guerreros Latin Foods, Pandelicious Bakery, Pinoy Spot Asian Mart, Projekt+Blend, Red Swan Pizza, Steven’s Cocktail Corner Bar, and a few other places. From the Cozy Bean Bakery & Café, for example, you can also get a cake flight of samples. There are treats for dogs and cats at a couple of places too.
