About the Surrey Hospice Society
The Surrey Hospice Society was founded in 1986 by a dedicated group of volunteers and medical professionals who recognized the need for compassionate end-of-life care in the community. Since then, the organization has grown to include a full-time staff and a wide network of trained volunteers who provide emotional, spiritual and practical support. Each year, the Society supports hundreds of individuals and families through palliative care and bereavement programs for adults, teens and children.
Located in Surrey, the organization serves all six of the city’s neighbourhoods: Cloverdale, Fleetwood, Guildford, Newton, South Surrey and Whalley. As Surrey continues to grow and diversify, so too does the Hospice Society’s commitment to serving residents with dignity, care and compassion.
