Ribfest Langley is a popular three-day summer event held at McLeod Athletic Park. Organized by the four Rotary Clubs of Langley, this entry-by-donation festival combines live music, delicious BBQ ribs, craft beer and family fun.

Proceeds from this event go directly back into the community, making it not just a great time, but a meaningful one.

Now in its fifth year, Ribfest Langley continues to grow in popularity, drawing over 47,000 attendees last year alone. Admission is free, although donations are encouraged. The event features live bands, dance performances, a KidZone, and food vendors offering a variety of BBQ dishes, including vegetarian and vegan options. Inspired by the success of Port Moody Ribfest, this event serves as both a community celebration and a major fundraiser.

Location and Schedule

Ribfest Langley takes place at McLeod Athletic Park, located at 5687 Johnston Townline Road, near 56th Avenue and 216th Street. The park is close to Langley Airport and the Canadian Museum of Flight. Festival hours run from 11:00 am until sundown across all three days, with free admission and a pay-as-you-go model for food and drinks.

 

What to Expect at Ribfest Langley

Expect to find top-tier BBQ vendors offering pork and beef ribs, pulled pork, barbecued chicken and other mouth-watering items. Rib vendors typically include the following:

  • Gator BBQ (Ontario)
  • Guerilla Q BBQ (Chilliwack)
  • Rusty’s BBQ (Port Moody)
  • Prairie Smoke & Spice (Saskatchewan)

KidZone Activities

The KidZone runs from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, and until 7:00 pm on Sunday. It features fun and engaging activities for children, including the following:

  • Bouncy castles
  • Mini-golf
  • Corn hole games
  • Remote control cars
  • Face painting

The KidZone is completely free, as is the live entertainment throughout the weekend.
